Over 40 years ago and on the west coast, my public junior high was sheer hell, including having an exacto knife held to my throat in art class. I didn’t complain much because I didn’t realize there was anything that could be done, but I would have loved to go to another school or be home-schooled until high school, which was vastly much better. At least your son tells you what’s going on and has faith that you can help, and you are responding. I hope the alternative schedule works out for the rest of the year and that high school is better for Will.

Thanks, Dame Eleanor. I am hopeful that at least some of the problems will be addressed with the new schedule.
